Baffle Plates Inlet Diverter

Baffle plates inlet diverter

There are two main types of inlet diverter, baffle plates and centrifugal diverter. Baffle plate is simply a plate to change the liquid direction and velocity at rapid rate. The sudden change in direction and velocity will disengage the gas from the liquid. The basic design of the baffles is to count the structural support to overcome the incoming impact from the liquid. Baffle plate can be form of spherical dish, cone, angle iron or flat plate. If mechanical disturbance is becoming a problem then we can use half sphere or cone inlet diverter, it also reduce the re-entrainment rate and emulsifying problems.
